If you follow me on twitter, you’ll know that since the start of this year I’ve been putting out a daily gambling pick. The crazy thing about it is, since I’ve started tweeting my picks I’ve been on the biggest heater of my sports gambling career. Normally this is the part where I would say fade me because I can’t bet for shit, but as long as I’m hot feel free to follow along for the ride and make some money off my hard work (guessing randomly with very little statistical consideration). Every day at 5pm I’ll be writing a short blog post explaining my very flawed logic for that day’s pick, as well as a quick review of yesterday’s pick and how we did.
TODAY’S PICK – VILLANOVA +2.5 @ BUTLER
I already told you guys I’m from Philly, so I do have a bit of a Nova bias. But #10 Villanova is getting 2.5 points on the road against #19 Butler. Any time a higher ranked team is getting points, it’s a pick I consider. See I’m an idiot, so when I see a college basketball team ranked above another team I automatically assume they’re the favorite regardless of the spread. Fair warning, I just started betting college basketball on Monday. I’m using February as a warmup for March Madness, so if I suck this month it’s like a mulligan for me. Losses are the kids on the team’s fault. Please direct your angry tweets to them. But I really like Nova tonight. Back on January 21st, Butler came to Nova and got smoked, 76-61. I don’t know where Butler is, but I doubt they have much of a home court advantage. Wait. Indianapolis? Yeah, this is a lock. There are no sports fans in Indy. Let’s go Cats!
