Well last night absolutely sucked. I took Nova +2.5 @ Butler, and about 5 minutes after I placed the bet the line moved to +3. Not a great sign but I thought Nova would win outright. First off, we had a RAIN DELAY in the first half. I think I should be refunded my money from my bet on principle there just because that almost makes it not a basketball game. But the bottom line is that Villanova knocked down a late free throw to tie the game at 76, Butler came down with the shot clock unplugged, and all I needed was for them to not hit a walk off 3. And they went ahead and hit a god damn walk off 3. Now the whole state of Indiana is on my shit list. Build roofs that can withstand a drizzle you Middle America losers.
The upside of sports gambling is that there’s always another slate of games the next day. Huge win or bad beat, you still get to jump back on the horse and try again. I don’t love what I have today, but I’m going to take USC +10 at #23 Arizona. Maybe it’s because I used to play with USC back in NCAA March Madness 08, maybe it’s because I’m addicted to losing money. But I just don’t think the Trojans are getting blown out tonight. Zona and USC have of course played similar schedules, and they’ve played common opponents very similarly. The records (USC 17-5 @ ARZ 15-6) matchup too. Just have a feeling about this one. Fight on Trojans.
