Well last night was a trip. I should’ve thought about it when I bet a late night Pac-12 game on ESPN 2, but it didn’t register until I flipped over and heard Bill Walton’s voice. It turned out to be almost therapeutic to hear his nonsensical ramblings, because I was significantly more focused on that then USC covering the 10 point spread. I already wrote about some of his quotes (hyperlink here), but it was a wild ride to watch the Trojans eventually lose by 5. Enjoyable because I hit, probably would’ve been infuriating if I had lost. But hey, that’s gambling.
Now it’s time to get on a winning streak. Sports gambling only pays if you can string wins together, and it takes a smart person to do that. So today we’re heading to the Ivy League. UPenn is heading to Columbia as a 5.5 point favorite and I love the Quakers tonight. I can’t imagine Columbia being good at basketball. I mean their last 3 games are losses to Cornell, Yale, and Brown. Not exactly powerhouse programs there. I like Penn by double digits tonight. Come on you nerds, don’t let me down.
