Last night was another rough one. Michigan State had a damn 20 POINT SECOND HALF LEAD and let Illinois come all the way back to cover the 2 point spread. It almost pisses me off more that Michigan State ended up winning by 1, after blowing that lead you don’t deserve any type of happiness or pride from that type of performance. Despicable. That’s two blown leads in two straight nights. Really I’ve been considering just completely giving up on college basketball. But I said that we were going to have to take some lumps in February to shine in March, and mama didn’t raise no bitch. We soldier on.
Today I’m taking #19 Butler -5.5 at home against Xavier. If you asked me to point to where Xavier is on a map I would have no earthly idea. What I do know is I’m done betting on road teams for awhile. I learned first hand how dangerous Butler can be at home, and not just because their roof almost collapsed on Villanova last week. After watching them hit a walkoff 3 in a very competitive game against Nova (and costing me money), hopefully I can get on the right side of the equation tonight. Here’s to hoping that a Lannister Butler Bulldog always pays his debts, and they pay me back for the heartbreak of the past. Statistically, Xavier is 3-4 on the road in the Big East this year, while Butler is 11-2 on their home floor. Running out of time to make hay this week, so let’s get cooking.
